Shirkah Journal of Economics and Business is a peer-reviewed journal published tri-annually (January-April, May-August and September-December) by Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN/State Institute for Islamic Studies) Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. The main objective of Shirkah is to offer an academic space of exchange ideas and initiate the increase number of qualified article produced by postgraduate students, practitioners and academicians.

Formerly, first published in 2007, Shirkah was initially published as Syirkah: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam, a bi-annual journal on Islamic economics and business. Since 2016, celebrating ASEAN economic community, the journal tranforms its name to Shirkah: Journal of Economics and Business. Shirkah has dedicated to be an excellent journal by publishing a innovative articles on economics and business.    

Shirkah openly invites manuscripts with various topics relating to economic and business challenge in broader sense, not only include industrial statistical economic but cultural, social and political ones also. The topics that uncovers the development of Islamic economic will be more appreciated in this emerging journal.
